The Operations Glow-Up
Founder first. Operations, tailored.
The Operations Glow-Up brings hands-on operations consulting and implementation to women-owned, expertise-led businesses—with the founder’s overall well-being and ability to lead and perform at the center. I look at how the business runs and what its demands ask of you: your time, energy, focus and capacity. Together, we identify operational changes designed to reduce unnecessary strain and create more room for strategic work, life outside the business and your health. I assess, prioritize, implement, train, and help the changes hold—not simply hand you recommendations to execute yourself. Optional nutrition and well-being support can complement this work through a separate agreement; it is not required.
The five stages
From first look to final handoff.
The Consultation
We explore what you want the business to make possible—and how its demands may be affecting your energy, stress, time for yourself and overall well-being. Then we examine recurring escalations, roles, workflows, communication, tools and administration to identify where operational changes could better support you and your team. This conversation does not require detailed health disclosure; any personal health assessment or nutrition and well-being support is optional and separately agreed.
The Fitting
We define what will change, what will not, who is responsible, the resources and approvals needed, and how progress will be reviewed. Priorities fit your goals and realistic team capacity. Personal services are not bundled into scope.
The Makeover
I implement the changes we agree. Workflows, SOPs, responsibilities, onboarding, software, appropriate automation and AI, communication and scheduling are possible areas—not universal inclusions. We test changes in real work and train your team.
The Reveal
Operational measures might include fewer recurring escalations, clearer ownership or completed implementation milestones. Separately, we review your reported experience of priorities, workload and ability to disconnect. These are illustrative measures, not guarantees or proof that every problem is permanently solved.
Aftercare
We check adoption, ownership of ongoing tasks, training needs, realistic workloads and emerging friction. Included aftercare has proposal-defined duration and boundaries. Further projects or an optional paid retainer require a separate agreement; access is not unlimited.
Good to know
How the engagement is shaped.
- Founder goals shape the work. Operational discovery begins with your priorities and workload, not a required health assessment.
- Defined scope comes first. Changes, exclusions, responsibilities, approvals and progress measures are agreed before implementation.
- Timing is set in your proposal. Engagement length depends on scope and isn’t fixed in advance.
- Aftercare is included. Its duration and boundaries are defined in your proposal.
- Beyond the Glow-Up. Additional projects can be scoped separately, and ongoing support may be available through a separate retainer.
Potential areas of work
More tools aren’t always the answer. Better-fitting operations are.
Depending on what we agree, the work may include some of the following. Not every area is part of every engagement.
- Workflow redesign
- Responsibilities and decision ownership
- SOPs and process documentation
- Onboarding
- Communication practices
- Scheduling improvements
- Better use of existing software
- Appropriate automation and AI
- Team training
One experience, clear boundaries
Operations at the center. Personal support by choice.
Core operations
Founder/workload discovery, operations assessment, prioritized plan, agreed implementation, training and defined aftercare—complete without personal services.
Optional founder support
Nutrition or well-being support is a separate choice, not an automatic inclusion or requirement. Any services need separate scope, consent and clear fees, within my qualifications and applicable professional scope.
Optional team support
Begin with workload, scheduling, role clarity, communication and practical working conditions. Additional education or voluntary services may be considered where useful and appropriately arranged. Participation is not a measure of commitment or effectiveness.
Defined scope. Clear next steps.
Tailored means improvements suited to your goals, processes suited to the business, responsibilities suited to your team, technology suited to the workflow, and implementation suited to realistic capacity. It does not mean changing everything or starting from scratch. We agree scope, priorities, responsibilities, approvals and boundaries.
